Maverick Yacht Management was founded by Johann Faubel and Alex M. in 2021. After years of running and maintaining vessels for owners across South Florida, both saw the same problem: yacht service was reactive, fragmented, and impossible to schedule around.
Owners had to coordinate detailing with one company, mechanical work with another, fuel with a third, hurricane prep with a fourth — and chase down receipts and updates from all of them.
We built Maverick to fix that. One company. One account manager. One monthly report. Every service your yacht needs, planned, scheduled, and documented — so you can spend your time on the water, not on the phone.
Today we manage vessels from 40′ to 100′ for full-time residents, seasonal snowbirds, and remote owners across Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Boca Raton, and beyond. We still answer our own phones — and we still walk every boat ourselves.
Our founders are the people on the other end of the phone — licensed captains and lifelong marine professionals who still spend time on every managed boat.

Johann’s career in the maritime industry spans more than 14 years. It began with four years in the United States Coast Guard as an Engineer on 100′ Cutters and later as an Operations Specialist.
After his service, Johann spent 8 years as a yacht captain piloting vessels up to 130′ along the East Coast, in Mexico, and across the Caribbean — giving him a firsthand understanding of exactly what owners need from a service partner.

Alex brings deep technical and operational expertise to Maverick. With years of hands-on experience across the marine industry, he leads the company’s maintenance, mechanical, and detailing programs.
Alex is the standard-setter for what “Maverick quality” looks like in the field — and he runs the technician training pipeline personally to make sure that standard never slips.
